Amoxil is antibiotic medication which is used to fight a wide range of bacteria that cause different typesof infections. This medicine works by preventing the bacteria from forming cell walls which are necessary for them to grow and develop.
Amoxil is used to treat such conditions as ear infections, sore throat, pneumonia, sinusitis, and some other infections. In combination with other medications Amoxil is used to treat H. pylori infections.
The usual dose of Amoxil that is prescribed for the treatment of the infections of ear, throat, nose, skin, or urinary tract is 250 mg every 8 hours.
Amoxil can provoke certain adverse effects. Seek medical attention if any of these side reactions are observed: changes in behavior,agitation, confusion, diarrhea, hives, rash, liver problems, jaundice, nausea, and sleep disorders.
Inform your medical provider without a delay if bloody diarrhea and abdominal cramps occur during the treatment with Amoxil.
